The Ride for Rick Scholarship

The Ride for Rick Scholarship was initially set up as a yearly gift to the Woodbury Scholarship Fund, and was derived entirely from the proceeds of the annual Ride for Rick Bike Event held each year between 2004 and 2008. In 2008, we were very pleased and proud to make the Ride for Rick scholarship an endowed fund as well, so that each year in the future we might award another worthy candidate with the needed funds for education.

The Ride for Rick event mobilized the entire Woodbury community behind its very worthy causes of cancer awareness and education assistance.

To date, the Ride for Rick event has generated over $325,000 for our community, and continues to be the barometer by which other fund-raising events are measured.

Recipients of the Ride for Rick scholarships must also demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement, an interest in arts or sciences, and a history of community service.
